PROJECT AHAR
A Nutrition-Focused Charitable Initiative for Children Below Five Years
An initiative by Rishab Pillai, Founder – Fab Millets

Project AHAR is a charitable nutrition initiative created to address early childhood malnutrition among children below five years of age. The program focuses on the responsible distribution of millet-based nutrition to support healthy physical growth, stronger immunity, and early cognitive development during the most critical years of life.
The initiative works closely with community partners to reach children in underserved and nutritionally vulnerable populations, with a strong emphasis on nutrition quality, ethical delivery, transparency, and long-term impact.
Our Vision
To help build a future where every child receives adequate nutrition during the first five years of life, creating a strong foundation for lifelong health, learning, and well-being.
Our Mission
To reduce early childhood malnutrition through accessible, nutrient-rich millet-based nutrition
To support caregivers with basic nutrition awareness and guidance
To collaborate with NGOs, anganwadis, healthcare providers, and community organizations
To ensure ethical distribution, accountability, and measurable social impact
Why Focus on Children Below Five
The first five years of life are a period of rapid physical, neurological, and immune development. Nutritional deficiencies during this stage can lead to:
- Impaired cognitive and learning abilities
- Reduced immunity and frequent illness
- Stunted growth and long-term health challenges
Project AHAR focuses on this critical developmental window, ensuring children receive consistent, culturally appropriate nutritional support when it matters most.
Our Approach & Impact
Nutrition Through Millets
Millets have been part of traditional diets for centuries and are widely recognized for their nutritional value. Through Project AHAR, Fab Millets are used as a practical nutrition solution that is:
- Nutrient-dense and balanced
- Familiar and acceptable within local food cultures
- Suitable for regular consumption
- Aligned with clean-label and responsible food practices
